Disaster on a trip to the north:
A 60-year-old woman fell today (Friday) from a height of about eight meters in Nahal Amud in the Upper Galilee.
Her death was determined after prolonged resuscitation operations.
MDA said that after she was rescued from the area, she would be evacuated to Poria Hospital.
MDA paramedic Shimon Aknin said: "This is a sad incident, the woman fell deep into the area of Nahal Amud, where there is no access to a vehicle, and we went down on foot to the scene.
A medic who accompanied the travelers began to provide the woman with medical treatment, and with the help of MDA-targeted telephone, resuscitation operations began. They continued with the assistance of a rescue unit, medical staff of Unit 669 of the Air Force and MDA staff.
After prolonged resuscitation operations, the woman's death was determined on the spot.
A trip that ended in severe tragedy. "
