Accident in A1 in Emilia, one dead and six injured

The toll of an accident that occurred last night, around 4am, on the A1 Milan-Naples motorway in the section between Modena Sud and Valsamoggia, then closed in both directions, is one dead and six injured.

Involved, at kilometer 183, a car and two heavy vehicles.

In the collision, at a first reconstruction,

one of the trucks overturned, losing part of its load - bleach - and triggering a fire

that was extinguished by firefighters from Bologna and Modena.

The victim is the driver of one of the heavy vehicles while the injured were in the other two vehicles.

In addition to the firefighters, medical and mechanical rescue services, the traffic police and the staff of the 3rd section of Bologna direction of Autostrade per l'Italia intervened.

Autostrade per l'Italia reports that the section towards Milan is reopened, while the section towards Bologna is still closed and is causing

queues of up to ten kilometers
