From June 24th to 26th the sixth Hallertau Beer Festival will take place in Attenkirchen.

This year's cultural program is more varied and of high quality than ever before.

The fact that this big event can take place

in the village center at the Brauermarktplatz

in the small Upper Bavarian community is thanks to the many sponsors on the one hand, above all Gold-Partner HVG - Hopfenverwertungsgenossenschaft eG, and on the other hand to the voluntary commitment of the members of the steering group and the local clubs.

Hallertau Beer Festival: Most hotels are already fully booked

"All of our clubs are again very enthusiastic,"

says Attenkirchen's Mayor Mathias Kern,

"more than 400 volunteers will help ensure that visitors can enjoy a well-organized

beer festival

." Every two years, the entire town is in festival fever.

This was also evident at a meeting of all clubs in the local climbing hall, when Mayor Kern asked again whether everyone wanted to participate again.

Even associations from neighboring communities have now offered their help.

23 music groups of different genres entertain on three stages, including the band King Cojones.

Attenkirchen is again expecting thousands of visitors from near and far over the three days of the festival.

Many citizens are accommodating friends and relatives from abroad because the few hotels and guesthouses in the vicinity are already largely fully booked.

If you book a hotel room in Freising, Mainburg or Moosburg, you can take the popular festival shuttle bus to the Hallertau Beer Festival (and back).

For the first time this year there is also a parking space for mobile homes.

Hallertau Beer Festival: program more diverse than ever

All good reasons to linger a long time at the Hallertau Beer Festival, to taste great beers in small glasses and to enjoy the spectacular cultural programme, which has never been as diverse and high-quality as this year: 23 music groups of different genres entertain on three stages, including Widely popular mood cannons such as Luis Trinker's Höhenrausch (Abensberg/Regensburg) on Saturday or the Munich cult band "Oansno" (Friday).

There are also walking acts, Heidi Deml's popular dog show and, for the first time, the Allgäu small animal circus "Liberta".

There are also a large number of market stalls with regional handicrafts, a supervised children's program and, of course, a wide range of food.

In addition to the local innkeepers, other providers have been won over who, with finger food, ensure that there are no long waiting times for hungry people.

Hallertau Beer Festival: Looking for Bavaria's largest wind orchestra

These include "Fleischies Hopfengriller", special sausages grilled by the well-known radio presenter and entertainer Bernd Fleischmann, or the vegetarian options at the Schönegge Nature Garden.

The organizers are also hoping for a great response to the idea of forming "Bavaria's largest wind orchestra" on Sunday midday: everyone who plays a wind instrument should come to Attenkirchen and play a piece together that was specially composed by the Attenkirchen musician Willi Abele ( "PituPati") was composed for the festival.

Free beer for the musicians included!

All in all, most things have already been organized for this event, which has long spread far beyond the Hallertau and for which Freising District Administrator Helmut Petz has taken over the patronage.

The whole village is in joyful anticipation.

"If the weather is right, we will see a lot of encouragement again," expects Alexander Herzog, spokesman for the Hallertau Beer Festival steering group, "after more than two years of the pandemic, people have a strong need to catch up on encounters and culture - and fun."
