The union decided on the strike as a protest measure, after a pharmacy manager was attacked by one of the patients yesterday. The pharmacist was rushed by ambulance to the hospital where her hand was bandaged.
The union warns that attacks on pharmacists are on the rise.
The union's chairman, Shimi Halali, says that "it is inconceivable that a pharmacist or a pharmacist would come to work without being sure that they would return home safely.
These events are accumulating and becoming a scourge of the state.
The general management and all the relevant government bodies must also take this into account.

Pharmacy workers are not the only ones dealing with the problem of violence directed at public workers.
As you may recall, last week, the secretariat of the Medical Association launched a two-day general strike in all hospitals and clinics, and the work took place only on a Saturday basis.
The sanctions were opened after a doctor was attacked by a relative of a patient with an iron bar that injured her head.
The chairman of the Medical Association, Prof. Zion Hagai, then explained the need to strike: "In the past year, we have made it unequivocally clear that any case of violence will encounter zero tolerance on our part.
The latest strike has led to an important government decision to place police stations in emergency rooms and allocate the necessary manpower, but we must look at things solely at the level of implementation in the field.
"As long as we do not see real actions in the immediate term, we will intensify the steps until someone here wakes up and understands that violence in the health system is a real epidemic."
