A serious accident occurred on Thursday on the B13 near Reichersbeuern.

Reichersbeuern – According to the police, a 19-year-old motorcyclist was very seriously injured in a head-on collision with a VW transporter on Thursday.

According to the police, the 36-year-old from Freising was driving his VW on the main road in the direction of Bad Tölz and wanted to turn left into Greilinger Weg at around 4:45 p.m. at the Epp nursery.
He gave the motorcyclist, a Sauerlacher, the right of way.
The force of the impact threw the 19-year-old off his machine.
It was only about ten meters further that he came to rest in the ditch.
A doctor who happened to be at the scene of the accident, the BRK rescue service and the first responders of the Reichersbeuern fire brigade took over the first aid for the seriously injured Sauerlacher before a rescue helicopter took him to the accident clinic in Murnau.

According to police estimates, the damage to property added up to around 12,000 euros.
The fire brigade from Greiling was deployed to provide technical assistance and finally guided the traffic in one lane past the accident site.

The scene of the accident was only reopened to traffic around 9 p.m.
