Budapest-Sana
Hungary called on the European Union to move away from its policy of sanctions against Russia and to enter into talks on Ukraine.
The TASS news agency quoted the Hungarian Prime Minister's Adviser on Political Affairs Palaj Orban as saying: "Europe will eventually find itself on the losing side of this war and will face major economic problems... Our advice is to stop the sanctions policy. What we have already seen is that the more of them we impose on Russia, the more it becomes." The situation is worse for the European bloc, so we have to think of a solution .. which is negotiations, a ceasefire, peace and diplomacy .. this is the solution.”
Orban said the sanctions had failed to do any serious damage to Russia and stop the conflict in Ukraine.
