The president of Colombia, Iván Duque, and the president-elect, Gustavo Petro, met this Thursday at the Casa de Nariño to talk about the presidential transition after the leftist candidate won the elections in Colombia by achieve more than 11 million votes in the second presidential round, according to the results of the Registry.

Petro will wait until August 7, according to the country's political tradition, to enter the Casa de Nariño to hold the position of president until 2026. That same day, President Iván Duque will deliver his mandate.
