It is rarely awarded: the Citizen's Medal in gold.

In Rudelzhausen she has now received a long-standing municipal council.

He wasn't the only honoree.

Rudelzhausen

– Corona has also slowed down a lot in Rudelzhausen in the past two years.

Among other things, the dignified farewell to those municipal councils who have not been in charge of the municipality since April 2020.

At a small ceremony in the Gasthaus Festner-Busch, four well-deserved and committed active and former councilors were honored - among other things with the rarely awarded gold citizen's medal.

Around 30 invited guests had gathered on Tuesday to say goodbye to the former municipal councilors in person as they retired.

There were certificates and a gift basket for Josef Fahn and Hans Neumaier, who were members of the municipal council from 2014 to 2020 - as well as for Norbert Koschyk, who became active in local politics in 2016 as successor to Martin Gruber.

"During the time they were involved, a number of projects such as the Wiesfeld and Kugelberg II construction areas or the purchase of a fire engine for Tegernbach were implemented," said Mayor Michael Krumbucher in retrospect.

According to the head of the town hall, Antonie Hagl, Alois Rank and the former second mayor, Hans Treibl, have always worked for the well-being of the people of Rudelzhausen - for twelve years.

"During this time, the broadband supply of the community was promoted, some fire engines were procured and several building areas were developed," says Krumbucher.

"On behalf of the community, I would like to thank you all very much for your commitment."

For 18 years of municipal commitment, the former mayor of Rudelzhausen, Konrad Schickaneder, received the silver citizen's medal - this had already been officially adopted at a municipal council meeting in July last year.

But Krumbucher himself has been active for just as long, which is why he was also awarded the Silver Citizen's Medal - by Edwin Lambert, his deputy.

“Krumbucher was the third mayor from 2002 to 2008 and supported numerous decisions such as the construction of a new sewage treatment plant.

For that, a heartfelt thank you," said Lambert.

Without one of the two having to sit down, things continued straight away, because Lambert didn't go away empty-handed either.

Since the deputy mayor has been active in the Rudelzhausen municipal council for 30 years, he in turn received the citizen's medal in gold from Krumbucher.

"In the history of our community so far, you are now the leader because you are still actively involved," says Krumbucher.

According to the mayor, Lambert has always shown great commitment, which is why he really only wants one thing from him: "Keep up the good work!"

(By the way: everything from the region is now also available in our regular Freising newsletter.)

Finally, there was a gold citizen's medal for Bruno Stahl, who had been elected to the Rudelzhausen municipal council again and again since 1990 until he decided in 2020 not to run again.

According to Krumbucher, Stahl was very active in the design of the village square in Kirchdorf.
