– The situation is tense: all the places in the Nandlstadt kindergartens, in the lunchtime care and in the open all-day school are occupied.
With a container system, a solution has been provided, at least in terms of kindergarten places.
But in the midday care, the situation remains "very dramatic", as administrative employee Laura Balas, who is responsible for youth and social affairs in the community, among other things, reported to the market councilors at the meeting on Thursday.
Container system provides a "small buffer" in the kindergartens
All places are occupied in both the Johannes (six groups) and the Korbinian kindergarten (three crèches and two kindergarten groups).
Since the waiting list was getting longer and longer, the municipality bought a container system from the municipality of Gammelsdorf in May (we reported).
In this, Laura Balas explained, 20 children can be cared for in the future - 14 have already been reserved.
"We have a small buffer here," said the administrative employee - knowing full well that "there's always something going on" and that the places may be taken quickly.
The problem with the story: "We don't have enough staff yet," she emphasized, which is why the search is in full swing.
Because from January, so it is planned, at least, the operation in the container facility, which is being built on a neighboring property of the Korbinian kindergarten on the Korbinianstraße, should start.
UWN Market Councilor Patrick Nocker knows that "the word 'container' puts many people off".
But anyone who has ever seen such a system knows that it hardly differs from a "normal" kindergarten.
CSU market councilor Franz Mayer also saw it this way: "Container always sounds pejorative.
But they were built specifically for this purpose.
The care is no worse," Mayer is convinced and made it clear: "This is not a second-class kindergarten." Especially since the group is affiliated with the Korbinian kindergarten and is also allowed to use the facility's outdoor facilities.
At the suggestion of Patrick Nocker, the twelve kindergarten containers will be presented to the public once they have been set up.

In the case of lunchtime care, it is “very dramatic”
According to Laura Balas, the situation with lunchtime care is “very dramatic”: While there have previously been enough places for all the children whose parents have to work in the afternoon, this is not the case this year for the first time.
"It's the busiest year," she said.
And not all families will get the much-needed space.
"We're trying everything to fix it, but it's difficult."
According to Mayor Gerhard Betz, the “main problem” is the lack of staff everywhere.
This in turn is also due to the fact that “training opportunities are not available”.
In Landshut, his fellow mayors would therefore now become active and write a "fire letter to the government".
Open all-day school: All places are full
The situation at the open all-day school is not much better: "All the places are full," reported Balas here as well.
The care problem extends from "the crèche children to the 16-year-olds".
And on top of that, you also have to plan places for Ukrainian children.
Staff is urgently needed
A solution to the care problem is not (yet) in sight.
But efforts are being made to find staff.
"So if you know someone...", Balas appealed to the market councilors to advertise the facilities.
