Russia's permanent representative to the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons, Alexander Shulgin, announced that his country has repeatedly warned the organization of possible chemical provocations by Ukrainian forces in Donbass and other regions.
"Moscow regularly informs the technical secretariat of the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons as well as other states party to the Convention on the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons about the preparations of the Ukrainian Nazis to carry out chemical provocations," Shulgin said in an interview on Rossiya 24 TV.
"We drew attention to what is being prepared inside the (Azote) plant in the town of Severodonetsk by laying mines in containers of rock salt and nitric acid in order to cause a humanitarian disaster and accusing Russia of all this," Shulgin added.
Shulgin stated that Russia also drew attention to the preparations at other facilities and in the so-called (the triangle of the chemical industry) in the towns of Severodonetsk, Lyschansk and Robjnoye, but representatives of Western countries in the organization, primarily the Americans and their allies, do not want to hear the voice of reason and prefer to continue accusing Russia.
