The first graduation after a two-year Corona break at the Luise-Meitner-Gymnasium in Unterhaching was a success: the departing students even convinced the headmistress with a barbecue party and attractions for young and old.

Unterhaching – It may not have been the most original graduation coup of the past few years at the Lise-Meitner-Gymnasium in Unterhaching, but it was definitely a particularly integrative one.

Because the departing high school students have not only thought of one or the other little naughty thing for their teachers, but also put together a sociable party for the entire school family from around 11.30 a.m. - with grilled sausages, drinks, roasted almonds and all sorts of other attractions for young and old Old.

"It was a celebration of the high school graduates for all the students - and I found that the best," says headmistress Michaela Trinder.

Principal praises high school graduates

Trinder was particularly pleased that the high school graduates not only prepared the festival well, but also thought about the needs of all age groups.

While the younger students, enthusiastically cheered on by their classmates and teachers in a bouncy castle-like competition arena, were able to measure their strength and skill, the older ones tried their hand at beer pong.

"Of course without beer," as the headmistress emphasizes.

And for hygiene reasons with slightly modified rules.

Incidentally, the Abistreich itself had already begun before the first lesson: Without face painting "Abi 22" and a few refreshing splashes from water pistols, teachers and students found it difficult to get to their places, and the high school graduates had barricaded the entrance to the teachers' garage with beer crates and the corridor turned into an obstacle course with strings, boxes and cups full of water.

All the jokes were kept within reasonable limits, as Trinder emphasizes: "Everything was doable." And because - as can otherwise happen in the exuberance of emotions with high school graduations - in this case nothing was broken and the high school graduates were exemplary after the celebration eliminated all the chaos, there is now also a small subsidy for the school fund from the school management.
