Kenitra-SANA

With a remarkable presence, the Arab Writers Union in Syria held a festival for the short story at the Cultural Center in Hader, on the occasion of the forty-eighth anniversary of the liberation of the city of Quneitra from the Zionist occupation on the twenty-sixth of June 1974.

The head of the Arab Writers Union, Dr. Muhammad Al-Hourani, stressed in a speech that the Golan is the land of heroism and sacrifices, and on the purity of its soil, the blood of honest and sincere people of the nation was mixed in a practical and sincere expression of the pain and hope shared together, pointing out that the liberation of Quneitra was an expression that proved the falseness of the Zionist sayings that the enemy’s army is invincible.

Al-Hourani pointed out that the people of this land are still proudly remembering the moments of victory over the Zionist enemy and the liberation of Quneitra, and they are all certain that the liberation of the rest of the occupied lands will inevitably come.

Writer Tawfiqah Khaddour, rapporteur of the Story and Novel Society, praised the sacrifices of the Syrian Arab Army in order to liberate all Syrian lands from occupation and terrorism, recalling its heroism and moments of victory over the Zionist enemy and returning Quneitra to the bosom of the homeland.

The writers Falak Hosariah, Tawfiqah Khaddour, Riad Tabra, Hussam Khaddour, Muhammad Al-Hafri, Mansour Hatem, Ghassan Hourania, Nidaa Ibrahim and Rashik Suleiman participated in the festival.

During the festival, critical studies were presented on the participating stories for each of the critic Dr. Ahmed Ali Muhammad, who explained that the stories included the most important technical conditions and are no less good than what is written today by major storytellers in the Arab world, noting that the nine stories that were presented covered contemporary story trends in general. .

Critic Dr. Rima Al-Diab saw that what was presented by the participating writers consisted of narrative discourses with complete elements whose methods varied between direct and symbolic, including what was called satirical literature, indicating that today we need literature that departs from the traditional pattern to turn to satirical literature that encapsulates the concerns of the citizen and the pain of war with a smile.

The festival was moderated by Dr. Jamal Abu Samra, head of the branch of the Arab Writers Union in Quneitra, who indicated the need to schedule visions that take into account the treatment of the reality of the Syrian child in all conferences, literary seminars and workshops.

Abu Samra indicated that most of the stories that were presented at the festival are realistic documentation of the terrorism that tried to destroy the country, which is a clear and explicit extension of the practices of the Zionist entity, the source and source of terrorism.
