"Bennett threw her into political doom": Ayelet Shaked's junction Israel today

In light of the growing estimate that Prime Minister Naftali Bennett will retire from political life temporarily next week, his partner will have to make decisions about her future • Sources on the right: "Bennett has thrown her into political doom, now she really has nowhere to go"

Against the background of the Prime Minister's impending timeout until next week, Naftali Bennett, the question arises, what will Ayelet Shaked do?

"There is no doubt that Bennett betrayed in partnership with Shaked and threw her into political doom, but she always decides to stay, now she really has nowhere to go," friends on the right told Israel Today.

Bennett reportedly made the decision to dissolve the government when Shaked visited Morocco, after pressuring Orbach to wait another week before supporting the dissolution of the Knesset, a move many saw as Bennett's betrayal of Shaked, the two met on Friday for the first time and are expected to meet again this morning (Sunday) .

Despite Bennett's move, which left Shaked with poor alternatives, the latter insists on broadcasting outwardly as if everything is fine even though her political future is shrouded in mist.

Shaked's entourage says she does not want Bennett to retire, but if he does, she will run for the top right in the election.

According to published polls, current right-wing voters belong to the center-left bloc.

If Shaked runs on the right-wing list, she will have to compete with Amich Shikli for right-wing votes that are not anti-Bibi but do not find themselves voting for Likud All to Bezalel Smutrich and Itamar Ben Gvir.

It is not clear whether Shaked will really risk not passing a blocking percentage a second time in three years.

According to sources close to her, Ayelet Shaked said in closed conversations: "I will be either on the right or in the Likud. There is no other option."

On his face, Shaked can connect with Gideon Saar.

But Saar continues to follow a rigid anti-Bibi line and such a move will only move Shaked away from its real goal - integration into the Likud.

Against the background of these alternatives, it seems that if Bennett retires, her best option is to take a break from political life and try to reintegrate into the Likud, but as stated, she claims in closed talks that she is interested in running in the upcoming elections.

Like Bennett, Shaked also has many more years ahead of her and is considered young in terms of politicians.

She will be able to build herself out through the heads of the Likud authorities who recognized her role as interior minister until the next opportunity to run in the primaries, or even wait until after Netanyahu's term and then it will be easier for her.

Bennett's alternatives

As for events in the Knesset.

Ahead of a dramatic week, during which, if there are no last-minute surprises, as was the case on "Lil Mofaz," the State of Israel will officially go to the fifth election in three years.

While opposition leader Benjamin Netanyahu is still trying to prevent an election and form an alternative government, the chances of that seem slim - until it does not exist.

However, the chairman of the Knesset committee, Nir Orbach, will enter the Knesset committee on Monday to advance the law dissolving the Knesset, which passed a preliminary reading last week ahead of the first reading. M.

The overlap between Lapid and Bennett has already begun.

Lapid is not expected to make any changes to the positions of head of the National Security Council and the military secretary, and the professional bodies are already preparing him for a meeting with President Biden.

Lapid tried to make changes to the cases as agreed upon in the rotation and suggested storming the foreign case, and Shaked may demand to move to the justice case, but it seems that at the moment the move has not been implemented and Shaked and Saar will remain in their current positions.

Having decided on the dissolution of the Knesset, the growing appreciation in Bennett's environment is that he will announce a time-out from political life.

Bennett officially said in media interviews that he "did not decide whether to run" but his associates claim that the chances that he will retire after the Knesset dissolution law is finally passed are high.

Against the background of thoughts of retirement, it can be seen that Bennett's alternatives are not good in relation to his current status.

Bennett's associates say he does not want to sit under Netanyahu.

If he wanted to do so, he could announce that he agrees to form an alternative government headed by Netanyahu in the current Knesset and to be finance minister or defense minister.

It is estimated that if Bennett had now come with every right-wing party, two new hopes would also have come and there would have been a higher chance of forming an alternative government in the current Knesset.

Alternatively, if Bennett decides to run at the top right with the "Anti-Bibi" campaign, members of his faction, led by Ayelet Shaked, do not match this approach.

Even if he does so and manages to get 6-5 seats, the bloc of change that has weakened from the previous time will have to form a government together with the joint and not just with the Prime Minister, according to the current polls.

In addition, Bennett understands that he will not be able to get the prime minister back in his current right-wing position.

Even if he runs in the election, and Netanyahu fails to bring in 61 so that some of the ultra-Orthodox parties agree to form a government with blue and white and there is a future - Bennett is not the one to head it, but will prefer Ganz.
