Chris Töpperwien actually wanted to launch his Currywurst truck in the USA.
But when a TV team took notice of him, he suddenly set his priorities very differently.
Now he wants to go back to his original plan.
He was with his wife at the time in the "Summer House of the Stars", took sixth place in the jungle camp and he was also seen in "The Perfect Celebrity Dinner".
In 2019 he got his own show "In 90 days to success - emigration with Chris Töpperwien".
A year later he won "The Festival of Reality Stars - Who is the brightest candle?" and in 2021 he took part in "Celebrities under Palm Trees".
The list of Chris Töpperwien's TV appearances is long.
The "Goodbye Germany" emigrant let himself be diverted from his path by TV offers
In the meantime, however, the 48-year-old looks back critically at this time.
Actually, Chris Töpperwien emigrated to the USA in 2011 to start a new life there.
"Maybe I should have made the currywurst story longer," he now recognizes in a new episode "Goodbye Germany".
But the many TV offers brought him from his actual plan.
"Of course I let myself be dazzled by the television," he now admits, "Of course you get the most unbelievable offers for which there is a lot of money. That's what tempted me too!”
Actually, he had long since realized that this life wasn't for him.
Chris Töpperwien tries again
Finally he realized: "I have to do something myself again and that in America." Is that his way out of TV, back to a more down-to-earth life?
Chris Töpperwien emigrated again with his new wife, accompanied by "Goodbye Germany".
In Los Angeles, the couple wants to open a bakery together.
“I was always a biscuit fan and a cake fan,” the emigrant explains his decision.
