11 new settlement outposts were announced by the Israeli occupation on the lands of several cities in the West Bank, in a clear escalation of settlement operations with the approach of US President Joe Biden's visit to the region and a blatant defiance of international legitimacy resolutions on the Palestinian issue, which always collide with the US administration's prevention of any move by the international community towards its implementation.

In a report published today on its website, the National Office for the Defense of Land and Resisting Settlements of the Palestine Liberation Organization stated that the occupation authorities seized 320 dunums of lands from the town of Amatin in the city of Qalqilya and 156 dunums of lands of the town of Deir Istiya in the city of Salfit to expand a settlement established on the lands of the two towns, while Plans were announced to establish 10 new outposts, 9 of them in the cities of Hebron, Bethlehem and Ramallah in the northern West Bank, and the tenth on agricultural lands in the village of al-Lubban al-Sharqiya, south of Nablus, threatening to uproot 4,000 olive trees and control the secondary road from Nablus to Ramallah.

The report indicated that the occupation forces started military maneuvers on the lands of the villages of Masafer Yatta area, south of Hebron, amid the use of rocket-propelled grenades, tanks, machine guns, bulldozers and various mechanisms, which poses a threat to the lives of Palestinians living in the area, despite the United Nations’ call to stop these maneuvers in a statement issued by the Humanitarian Coordinator in The Palestinian Territories Acting Yvonne Healy stated, “The pressure has increased on the people of the communities in Masafer Yatta to leave their homes significantly.. Demolitions, military activities and other increasingly coercive measures in Masafer Yatta must stop and its residents be allowed to remain in their homes in safety and dignity. .. These measures and the accompanying risks amount to human rights violations, including forced evictions and exposing people to the risk of forced deportation, which constitutes a grave breach of the Fourth Geneva Convention.”

The report indicated that the occupation continues to erect concrete separation walls in West Bank cities, where the apartheid wall has occupied more than 13 percent of its area. Rumeida in Hebron and central Bethlehem.

A few days ago, the occupation began erecting a wall around a settlement built on the lands of the city of Al-Bireh and the towns of Dura Al-Qara', Beitin and Al-Jalazun camp in Ramallah to tighten the separation between the eastern towns and the city of Ramallah, in addition to seizing the lands.

The report pointed out that the occupation forces demolished several homes and commercial and agricultural facilities in the towns of Silwan and Al-Isawiya in the occupied city of Jerusalem and Nahalin in Bethlehem, while they delivered demolition notices in the towns of Al-Dirat, Ramadan two, Zanouta, Sha’ab Al-Butm in Hebron and Jalboun in Jenin. They also razed areas of the lands of the town of Beit Hanina in Jerusalem Huge excavations began in the courtyard of the Al-Buraq Wall and the area of the Umayyad palaces in the area adjacent to the lower foundations of the Al-Aqsa Mosque.

The report pointed out that the settlers continue their attacks on the cities and towns of the West Bank under the protection of the occupation forces, as they stormed several neighborhoods in occupied Jerusalem, the Old City and Tarqumiya town in Hebron, and the towns of Kisan in Bethlehem, Deir Sharaf, Al-Bathan and Qaryut in Nablus, Iskaka and Al-Zawiya in Salfit, and attacked Palestinian property and prevented them from entering Their agricultural lands also cut off the Jenin-Nablus road, near the town of Silat Al-Dhahr, south of Jenin.
