An earthquake measuring 5.6 on the Richter scale hit the Kish region in southern Iran today, followed by aftershocks, without immediate reports of injuries or material damage.
And the Iranian Emergency Committee in the Kish region reported that public administrations in the region were suspended, except for ambulances and necessary services, in anticipation of any emergency.
On the twentieth of this month, an earthquake measuring 4.9 on the Richter scale hit Golestan province, northeastern Iran.
