The value of the sales of Al-Waleed Spinning Company in Homs of cotton and mixed yarn reached two billion and 491 million pounds, which were sold to the public sector authorities during the current year.
Engineer Mohamed Hammoud, director of the company, told SANA reporter that during the current year, more than 91 tons of cotton yarn were sold, with a value of 1.416 million Syrian pounds, in addition to selling more than 53 tons of blended yarns, amounting to one billion and 75 million pounds, indicating that 234 tons of cotton were produced. Mixed and cotton yarns, including 113 tons of blended yarns.
Hammoud said that fifty tons of cotton were received from the gins according to the plan of the Ministry and the General Organization for Textile Industries, in addition to another 200 tons.
Regarding maintenance and repair work, Hammoud pointed to the importance of completing all maintenance and rehabilitation work for machines with national expertise and the efforts of technical staff. About 44 years old.
Al-Waleed Spinning Company was established in 1978, and it is one of the important productive and economic companies that feed the local market with cotton yarns removed from all the tigers, and their surplus production is exported to the foreign market.
