Ukraine is considering abolishing the visa waiver for Israeli citizens, Ukrainian Ambassador Yahavan Kornichuk said this evening (Saturday).
In a conversation with the Israeli website in Russian "Datali", the ambassador said: "Russian citizens enter Israel without restrictions, so do Belarusian citizens, while for Ukrainian citizens have invented electronic visas. Neither I nor my superiors can accept this in peace. We are now considering whether or not to suspend. "The exemption from visas. Now it will not be felt, but towards Rosh Hashanah the Israeli government will feel it."
Ukrainians have in the past criticized Israel's visa policy towards Ukrainian citizens and also criticized Israel's significant restrictions on the entry of refugees from Ukraine.
In addition, the ambassador has previously expressed frustration with the conduct of Jerusalem in terms of military and humanitarian aid to his country, against the background of the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
Kornichuk said in a conversation with Israel Today "that" we are disappointed with the mobilization of the Israeli government to help Ukraine.
What we need most is missile systems to protect our citizens, not to attack Russia.
This is basic self-defense and Israelis should know how it feels when your cities and neighborhoods are bombed.
We have always been careful to condemn terrorism against Israel. "
"Israel likes to be proud that one of your own, a Jew, has become one of the most popular leaders in the world, President Zalansky, but I can tell you that in private circles he is disappointed with Israel because his expectations for Israeli mobilization were much higher," the ambassador explained.
