After the Supreme Court made the abortion verdict, President Joe Biden is extremely concerned.

He speaks of "extreme ideologies".

WASHINGTON DC – The US Supreme Court has overturned abortion laws.

According to this ruling, all states can decide independently whether to allow abortions or to ban them altogether.

The verdict was justified by the fact that the constitution contains nothing about the right to an abortion.

President Joe Biden criticized the decision.

"The health and lives of the women of this country are now at risk," Biden said Friday (June 24) at the White House.

The ruling "is, in my view, the realization of an extreme ideology and a tragic error on the part of the Supreme Court," is Biden's assessment of the ruling.

Citizens are being "taken away from a constitutional right that is so fundamental to so many Americans."

There has never been anything like this in US history.

Without the right to abortion, the USA is now a special case worldwide.

US President calls for more "peaceful" demonstrations

As a consequence, Biden calls for continued "peaceful" demonstrations for justice.

Midterm congressional elections are due in November.

For these, the President calls for the right to abortion and other “personal freedoms” to be defended.

With these statements, Biden wants to motivate the Democrats to vote.

Abortion rights had been in effect since 1973, when the US Supreme Court made a landmark ruling.

This has now been repealed.
