The examination papers for the agricultural, veterinary and agricultural machinery vocational high school certificates are nearing completion.

Engineer Muhammad Hassan Qatana, Minister of Agriculture and Agrarian Reform, said in a press statement during a tour of the Compilation Correction Center for the Agricultural and Veterinary Vocational Secondary Certificate in all governorates of the country for the first session in the Agricultural and Veterinary Vocational Secondary School in Homs that all measures have been taken so that the correction process is controlled, noting the great effort made by Teaching staff to complete the final examination process in preparation for issuing the results.

Minister Qatana indicated that it was directed to register the names of distinguished students on lists to benefit from them and target them in their villages and where they are in the countryside to give them short and medium-term loans or benefit from the support provided by organizations to establish their own projects, which encourages students to join agricultural high schools.

In turn, Engineer Hazar Ismail, director of agricultural education at the Ministry of Agriculture, explained in a statement to SANA reporter that the vocational high school center in Homs was approved as a center for the correction of agricultural and veterinary secondary certificate exams and agricultural machinery, where the correction center was previously in the city of Tartous and was moved this year to the city of Homs.

Ismail indicated that 1,744 male and female students from all disciplines were nominated for the exam, of whom about 1,500 students applied, and the rest were absent. Currently, correction operations are taking place with the participation of 150 correctors for all exam subjects.

In turn, Engineer Muhammad Zahlan, Head of the Department of Secondary Vocational Education in the Directorate of Agricultural Education in the Ministry of Agriculture and Agrarian Reform, indicated that the correction mechanism begins on the first day with the distribution of committees according to the exam materials, and then the correction ladders are discussed, and for each correction ladder, a committee is responsible for it according to a sample taken from all exam centers. Then the committees study the samples and then adopt the scale of correction and proceed with the correction.

Engineer Senior Al-Ali, Head of the Department of Agricultural Education and Rehabilitation in Tartous Agriculture Directorate, indicated that the random sampling committee is composed of specialized correctors, in addition to a collection auditor and a final auditor.

Suhair Nasri, who is responsible for the committee for opening papers after correction, indicated that the process of correcting papers is carried out with high accuracy and they did not encounter any problems.

Eng. Maria Salwaya from Lattakia, during her participation in the correction work as chair of the Chemistry Correction Committee, pointed out the great harmony between everyone and that the correction process goes easily, except for the problem of traveling on a daily basis from their governorates to Homs.

The Governor of Homs, Engineer Bassam Parsik, and the Director of Homs Agriculture, Engineer Younis Hamdan, participated in the tour.
