From May 27 to June 14, the Hong Kong Asia-Pacific Research Institute of the Chinese University of Hong Kong interviewed 710 citizens in the form of telephone interviews. The respondents were asked to evaluate Li Jiachao's five items on a scale of 0 to 100, with 50 points being qualified. The results showed that the overall score was 39.5 points, with the highest score of "working ability" at 42.5 points. 39.2 points and 38.5 points, while "protecting Hong Kong's freedom and human rights" scored the lowest at 30.2 points.

As for support, 32% of the respondents supported Li Jiachao as the new chief executive, 24.1% did not support it, and 29.3% said that half of the respondents.

When asked if they were confident that Li Jiachao would be able to manage Hong Kong in the future, 36.1% of the respondents said they had no confidence, 25.6% were confident, and about 30% took a wait-and-see attitude, with a total of 32.9% saying half and half.

Li Jiachao once proposed four core social policies. 28.4% of the respondents believed that Li Jiachao should take the lead in implementing the "optimization of the medical care system" after taking office, while 26.6% believed that "creating upper-class opportunities for young people" should be promoted first. 14.9% of the respondents felt that "caring for the elderly and helping the weak and helping the weak" should be implemented first, and 12.6% of the public believed that "optimizing educational equipment for the future" should be implemented as a priority.
