The CSU Forstinning is celebrating its 50th anniversary and everyone is coming.

Even the political "opponent" congratulated - and very warmly.

Forstinning - Almost unnoticed by the public and somewhat in the shadow of the neighboring festival in Hohenlinden, the local branch of the Christian Social Union (CSU) Forstinning recently celebrated its 50th anniversary.

After a joint service in the Church of the Visitation of the Virgin Mary, during which deacon Hans Dimke addressed the party's motto "Close to the people", around 40 members and friends met for a celebration in the sports restaurant.

Thomas Manzey, the current local chairman, outlined the beginnings of his local group again and referred to documents from the founding meeting of January 17, 1972.

Very good relationship with other parties

Christine Reichl-Gumz appeared as proof of the good relationship between the local parties and brought her congratulations as SPD parliamentary group leader and third mayor.

In addition, Arnold Schmidt, mayor for many years, and Heinz Renkl, spokesman for the parliamentary group, emphasized the achievements for the town in their speeches and brought some memories to life again in anecdotes.

Finally, there were honors over a meal, including Andreas Hofstaller receiving a certificate as a member from the very beginning for 50 years.

Thomas Huber, CSU district chairman and member of the state parliament, also came to this celebration.

In 50 years, the local association has managed to “build bridges again and again”.

Although he left state and federal politics aside that day,
