The Hong Kong and Kowloon Life Saving Workers Association posted today (25th) that a juvenile hawk was found on the shore of the Deep Water Bay Beach yesterday (24th) while preparing to set up life-saving equipment.
The lifeguard suspected that the young hawk was exhausted and fell into the water. The little hawk was weak when rescued. He immediately wiped the hawk's body with a towel, and then put it in a sunny place to dry its feathers.
After being carefully cared for and fed by lifeguards, the little hawk regained its strength and flew away before the AFCD staff arrived to return to nature.
