Ludwig Hartmann was a prominent guest at the District Farmers' Day in Oberding.

The leader of the Greens in the state parliament also stopped by the Huberhof in Eitting: Maria and Konrad scratches want to build a wood chip system that not only heats their farm, but also the children's home and the school.

But the approval of the submitted funding applications is a long time coming.

Hartmann wants to get involved.

Eitting – The facility is to be built on a large meadow on the Huberhof site.

The scratches could save 10,000 liters of heating oil with the regenerative heat supply.

It would be 60,000 liters at the school and the kindergarten.

"The community and the scratch family agree," affirmed Mayor Reinhard Huber.

"Everyone has oil and everyone wants to get away from oil," said Konrad scratches.

The newly created children's home, which is being built to the west of the previous children's home, is also to be connected.

Single and semi-detached houses as well as multi-family houses are also to be built there.

These could also be taken care of.

"There is no shortage of buyers," assured the mayor.

Since July, however, the planning has been stalled, and there is no news regarding the funding.

"Everything is ready, only the funding is missing," said Maria scratches.

The family has already invested a five-digit amount in the planning.

"We won't be able to do anything about it until September," Hartmann joked, but then got serious again: "Bavaria needs its own funding here." Because the intermediate piece, i.e. the infrastructure for the connection options, also needs financial support.

"I'm pretty sure something will come soon," Hartmann said.

There are also many who "just have an oil heating system that is 30 years old and now want to replace it," says Hartmann.

The wood for the wood chipping plant would come from the scratches forest - so it could hardly be more sustainable.

Hartmann likes this project of short distances.

“We need classic village heating with wood from the region.

I want to ask again in Berlin how things are going.” For the member of parliament it is clear: “We will need local heating.” This is shown very clearly by the current development on the gas market.

Speaking of gas: "Our gas expansion is definitely dead," affirmed Huber.

"The funding will probably be higher," Hartmann even speculated.

"How can you accelerate something like that?" Huber wanted to know.

Hartmann didn't have a conclusive answer to that either, but agreed to ask questions as soon as possible and to get in touch with the Kratzer family personally.

Hartmann was also convinced of the innovative company during a tour of the area, which was first mentioned 370 years ago as the Huberhof.

The scratches have 60 dairy cows including female offspring and around 50 laying hens.

In the company's own milk filling station, demand has bubbled up even more since the inflation.

Because a liter of milk still costs one euro.

The Kratzers also supply milk to the Jäger dairy.

They also get the butter from there and offer it alongside cheese, eggs or jam in their farm shop.
