The General Electricity Company of Homs implemented during the current year 17 projects in the neighborhoods of the city and the countryside aimed at increasing the reliability of the electrical network and reducing loads and malfunctions.
Engineer Bassam Al-Refai, the company's director, said in a statement to SANA reporter that one of the most prominent projects implemented is the Al-Rastan station exit project, equipping and investing the “T11” station in youth housing, and establishing a double circuit for the Taldou substation, pointing out that with the aim of encouraging citizens to return to their homes in the Al-Qarabis neighborhood, the Electricity Company established Homs is studying securing low tension sources from a prefabricated center, and the work sites have been handed over to the supervisor and the implementing agency to work on implementing and investing these sources and serving the citizens residing in the mentioned area.
Al-Rifai indicated that the company’s Studies Directorate, in cooperation with humanitarian organizations, supervised the erection of a transmission center tower and the installation of low-voltage poles for the project to feed the homes of returning citizens with electricity in the village of Al-Dumaina Al-Gharbiyye and working on investing a prefabricated transfer center with a capacity of 630 kilowatts.
In Al-Zahraa Square, with the aim of improving the electrical reality and relieving the neighboring centers, the work sites were handed over to the executing authority.
It is noteworthy that the General Electricity Company of Homs conducted a study during the current year to implement 49 projects in various regions of the province.
