A driver ran over a group of protesters at Cedar Rapids in Iowa last Friday as they crossed the street during a peaceful protest against the abortion ban, which went into effect that day.
The driver, an unidentified man, forcibly ran over several demonstrators who were marching in the back of a procession and rode on the ankle of one of them, and she was forced to evacuate to the hospital, according to witnesses present at the scene.
"He tried to murder them," said a local journalist who witnessed the attack.
"These women saw him coming, people raised their hands and signaled him to stop, but he kept going."
A truck driver plowed through multiple pro-choice protesters in Cedar Rapids, Iowa on Friday, sending at least one woman to the hospital.

Many witnesses, including one of the victims, described the scene of the incident: the driver was waiting behind a convoy of cars at a red light, while a group of protesters crossed the road.
He became "impatient," according to witnesses, and pressed the gas pedal, zigzagging between vehicles to reach the protesters.
A video taken by an inspector shows several women standing in front of the vehicle with their hands forward, trying to stop the driver, and one of them even reaches into his vehicle and grabs the steering wheel, but he continues to drive "through them" and knocks them to the ground, injuring several.
The driver was reportedly questioned Friday night, but no arrests were made.
Several witnesses claimed the motive for the attack was anger over the protest, which was just one of many that erupted across the U.S. after a court ruling.
One of the witnesses said that the driver did "above and beyond" to reach the demonstrators and run over them.
Last Friday, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled to overturn the 1973 ruling that the right to abortion is a constitutional right, and thus virtually any U.S. state can decide its own abortion laws. This is the first time in history that the U.S. has repealed Constitutional right.

According to the NAF (National Abortion Federation of the United States), in the last 43 years, anti-abortion activists have committed at least 11 murders, 26 attempted murders, 956 death threats, 614 cases of threatening surveillance and four kidnappings. Abortions bombed 42 clinics to perform legal abortions, burned 194 and threatened 667.
