The largest telescope in the world is said to have recorded inexplicable signals from space in China.

Is this evidence of extraterrestrial life?

Beijing - The question of whether there is life in space is one of mankind's greatest mysteries.

Unfortunately, no one can say whether we are alone or not in the endless expanses.

Sure, there are thousands and thousands of exciting theories - fueled by the many modern Hollywood stories about space exploration and alien civilizations - but first contact is still a long way off.

Last winter, the James Webb Telescope, the most advanced space explorer of its kind, embarked on a long journey into the depths of space, in part to search for new, possibly Earth-like, planets.

While the device, which costs billions, is passing the stars, there is also a lot going on here on earth.

Because a telescope in a Chinese research facility is said to have picked up mysterious signals.

Could it really be that far?

Are we finally hearing messages from outer space?

Telescope in China receives signals from space: Report disappeared from the Internet?

As reported by the American news company

Bloomberg

, a report in the Chinese publication

Science and Technology Daily

is said to speak of a groundbreaking discovery.

Sky Eye, the world's largest radio telescope, is said to have received electromagnetic signals from space that could well indicate extraterrestrial life.

Before all space fans cry tears of joy, unfortunately some bad news.

The report, which spread like wildfire in the media after publication, has since been deleted and can no longer be found on the website supported by the Chinese government.

It is not known whether this means that the signals were a miss.

So there may still be hope that there is something to the groundbreaking discovery of the Sky Eye telescope.

Telescope in China receives signals from space: Sky Eye searches for extraterrestrial life

The Sky Eye telescope, which has an impressive diameter of 500 meters, has been searching for signs of extraterrestrial life for two years.

According to

Bloomberg

, the missing report referred to several mysterious signals - measured in both 2020 and 2022.

However, it should also have been noted that it could have been just a matter of interference.

One can only hope that this is not the case and that the signals actually have an origin in space.

Who knows - maybe the Sky Eye team will be in touch with exciting updates soon.

That would really be something.
