Prince William and his brother Prince Harry have reportedly been at odds for months.

The Sussexes' departure has driven a wedge between the brothers.

A reconciliation currently seems completely impossible.

London – Prince William (40, here all the news on the topic page) lives in London, Prince Harry (37) in distant Montecito: The two brothers are separated by a whole ocean, which is also a symbol of the great gap between them.

Since the royal exit of Harry and his wife Meghan Markle (40), the relationship between the British royals has been broken.

Prince William

Duke of Cambridge

Born:

June 21, 1982 (age 40 years)

Full name:

William Arthur Philip Louis Mountbatten Windsor

spouse:

Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge (married 2011)

Brotherly love looks different: William and Harry are in radio silence

Prince Harry has chosen sunny California as his new home, but his relationship with his family in Great Britain has suffered greatly as a result of his move and his departure from the crown.

Family peace is a long way off, and hope for reconciliation seems to be fading in the palace too.

The last visits to England did not appear to have changed anything, even at the throne jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II (96) in June, the Sussexes were banished to the second row.

While Harry's father Prince Charles (73) is still trying to talk, Prince William apparently wants to end the chapter.

Harry and Meghan and William and Kate didn't get in each other's way at the anniversary service, the Sussexes took a second row seat.

Prince William "can't do anything anymore": relationship with Harry is about to end

Royal expert Ingrid Seward is convinced that the Duke of Cambridge has now accepted that he can no longer save his relationship with his younger brother and can no longer settle the dispute.

The efforts of his wife Kate Middleton (40) are also said to have come to nothing.

"

Kate has done a lot to foster their relationship, and while William has always looked out for Harry, he feels like there's nothing more he can do at the moment,"

Seward confided to The Mirror.

The 40-year-old doesn't want to waste his time with the things that "he can't change".

Prince Harry hasn't given up yet, but William is looking ahead

Royal dropout Harry is said to be even more confident than his brother.

In order to smooth things over again, Prince Harry is said to have suggested, among other things, the use of a mediator.

William has apparently not yet accepted this offer.

Princess Diana's sons (36, † 1997) avoided each other at their last public meeting at London's St. Paul's Cathedral in early June, and no words or looks were exchanged.

No reconciliation in sight: William and Harry go their separate ways

Diana is said to have hoped during her lifetime that Harry would not leave William as a support and would also have his back after the accession to the throne.

A wishful thinking that will probably never become reality.
