Meanwhile, the British Ministry of Defense has released a comprehensive report according to which the Kremlin apparently ousted a number of generals from key command positions in the invasion of Ukraine during the month. According to the report, President Putin personally intervened in the new appointments Donbass, where progress has been made but slowly and at a high cost of losses.

Yesterday, the Ukrainian army announced a withdrawal from the city of Sverdansk, after 120 days of stubborn fighting in the streets of the last remaining Ukrainian stronghold in Luhansk Oblast.

Despite Russian claims of significant siege of Ukrainian troops and mass surrender, officials in the Donbas region reported that the withdrawal was successful and that Ukrainian forces were able to retreat to easier positions for defense in the nearby town of Lisichansk.
