A woman dies in the fire at her home.

Local residents notice the fire, but any help comes too late.

Maintal – Terrible news on Saturday morning (June 25th): A woman from Maintal near Hanau died in an apartment fire.

This was announced by the police in Southeast Hesse in Offenbach.

According to the police, residents noticed the fire in the house on Erfurter Strasse around 8 a.m. and alerted the rescue services.

But any help came too late for the woman.

The fire brigade was only able to save the dead resident from the upper floor of the family home, as reported by op-online.de.

Woman dies in apartment fire in Maintal – second resident saved

A second resident suffered burn injuries and smoke inhalation.

He was rescued and taken to a special clinic for further treatment.

In addition, a first responder injured his leg slightly, and he was also taken to a hospital for examination, the police said.

The extinguishing work on the family home in Maintal near Hanau lasted until 9 a.m.

Nothing is currently known about the amount of property damage.

The house is uninhabitable.

The criminal police are investigating.
