The Likud has not yet given up on efforts to form an alternative government.
The ultra-Orthodox wanted to submit a 40-signature hearing on Monday, but the Likud demanded that they remove the request from the agenda in order to allow the submission of a no-confidence motion in case they might still be able to formulate the composition for an alternative government.
Sources in the Likud said that "Netanyahu, in the face of this, wanted to put pressure on every MK and every possible factor."
However, the Likud points out that there is no proposal that says that anyone other than Netanyahu will be prime minister and that proposals for Gantz were made only in the opinion of the bidders.
According to them, "there is no proposal in which Netanyahu is not prime minister. Anyone who offers something else offers it only in his name."
The coalition is doing everything to expedite the process and wants to open the debates in the plenum on Monday in an unusual way as early as 13:00 to end the process by Monday night.
