The facts took place Tuesday evening Place de la Bourse in Bordeaux.
According to the story of our colleagues, two teenage girls wanted to “
celebrate the summer and their next 16 years
” and had been authorized to go out with a friend and a cousin.
As they danced and sang, a stranger approached the group, stuck behind one of the teenage girls while rubbing against her.
A friend of the girl then pushed him away.
But moments later, the teen felt someone dig their fingers into her private parts over her shorts.
The other teenager suffered similar touching.
Shocked, the two young girls pulled themselves out of the crowd and ran towards CRS who were watching the square.
They provided them with a detailed portrait of the suspect - "
small, thin, dark, acne scars on his face and wearing a marinière
" - which was immediately transmitted on the airwaves of the police.
The suspect was arrested at Porte de Bourgogne where he was about to take the tram.
During the trial, reported by
Sud Ouest
, the defendant "swore" that he had "
done nothing
".
“
If I touched them, it was unintentional.
There were a lot of people, there was a rush
, ”he said.
The suspect had initially indicated that he had not gone to the Place de la Bourse but, confronted with a video showing him in the middle of the dancers very close to the young girls, he finally recognized "
a few round trips in the crowd
".
The defendant's lawyer pleaded for release during the hearing.
"DNA research was carried out on the shorts of one of the teenagers and the DNA of my client was not found
," she insisted.
