Dachau – Two room fires and five other operations kept the Dachau volunteer fire brigade busy over the weekend.
In the two room fires, the forces rescued four people from the apartments.
On Sunday morning shortly after 7 a.m., the Fürstenfeldbruck integrated control center reported a “room fire with people in danger” in a building near the herb garden.
“On the approach, the forces saw black smoke rising into the blue sky.
A respiratory protection team immediately entered the building to search for people and fight the fire on the ground floor and was able to save two people from the building a little later," said FFW spokesman Wolfgang Reichelt.
The advancing forces positioned themselves on the rear side of the building and penetrated from there to search the other apartments on the ground floor and upper floor for other people and a possible spread of the fire.
"This respiratory protection team found a person in an already slightly smoky apartment on the upper floor and brought them to safety," says Wolfgang Reichelt.

All affected people were treated by the rescue service, which was also on site with a number of emergency vehicles based on the report picture.
Ventilation of the house began in parallel with the firefighting.
"According to previous knowledge, food was overheated on the stove and caused the fire," explains spokesman Reichelt.
The fire room was largely destroyed and the residential unit cannot be used until further notice.
Reichelt: "Therefore, the city administration was informed in order to accommodate the person affected elsewhere." After an hour and a half, the fire brigade left again.
The Dachau fire brigade had already been alerted to a room fire on Herrmann-Stockmann-Strasse on Saturday at 7:10 p.m.
A refrigerator caught fire for reasons unknown.
A rescue squad extinguished the flames and brought one person to safety.
She was treated by paramedics and taken to a hospital.

The other operations at the weekend took place due to water damage in Karwendel Straße at 0.39 a.m. on the night from Friday to Saturday and only a few minutes later at a wedding.
During the celebration, a smoke machine set off the smoke detector alarm.
On Saturday evening, just before midnight, the watch was called to two medical first aid units in a row.
Once the helpers had to intervene in a bar on Schleißheimer Strasse, and once again in the immediate vicinity of the equipment shed on the pedestrian bridge over the exit to Friedenstrasse.
Finally, on Sunday at around 11.20 a.m., the Dachau fire brigade was ready to provide technical assistance on the B 471.
There, oil had leaked from a vehicle after a gearbox failure.
