Joe from Oldenburg has been missing for almost a week, now a sniffer dog sensed his trail.
Around 200 people then searched a field - and discovered a footprint.

The police also use a murder commission to search for the missing eight-year-old in Oldenburg.
From information provided by a witness, the suspicion arose that the boy might have been the victim of a crime.

Joe was last seen on Friday, June 17, 2022. The people of Oldenburg are very concerned about the boy's disappearance, numerous people are voluntarily looking for Joe without stopping.

As the dpa quotes a police spokesman on Thursday, the search will continue for the child: "We are following the clues that we get".
Eight-year-old Joe, who has an intellectual disability, was last seen around 5:30 p.m. in the area of the former Donnerschwee barracks.
The police already emphasized in a first message that Joe could easily understand the search for him as a game.
Accordingly, the search is supported by rescue dog squadrons and loudspeaker announcements.
Countless volunteers have also been looking for Joe for days, and the drone group from the Ammerland district fire brigade also took part in the search.
According to indications, the boy could have stayed in Wehnen (Ammerland district).

reports, among other things, witnesses are said to have given a hint of a strawberry field on Tuesday.
Joe was not discovered here either.

On Wednesday, a sniffer dog is said to have scented the boy's track in a corn field.
As picture reports, around 200 people are said to have gathered there immediately and looked for little Joe.
A small footprint was discovered.
Forensic investigators should now check whether the footprint could have come from missing Joe.
