Motorcyclist overlooked when turning: 18-year-old dead

Peißenberg – An 18-year-old motorcyclist from the district died in an accident on the Peißenberg bypass road on Sunday night.

– As reported by the Weilheim police, a 29-year-old woman from Peiting drove her Fiat 500 from Hohenpeissenberg at around 10:55 p.m. on the B 472 to Peißenberg.
At the Peißenberg-West exit, she wanted to turn left onto Schongauer Strasse, but overlooked the oncoming motorcyclist.
The 18-year-old crashed into the front of the vehicle and died at the scene of the accident after unsuccessful resuscitation measures.
Damage is 7000 euros
The 29-year-old had to be transported to the Schongau hospital with minor injuries, her two passengers from Peißenberg were unharmed.
The vehicles suffered property damage totaling around 7,000 euros.
In addition to twelve emergency services from the Peißenberg fire brigade, there were two emergency doctors and two rescue service crews at the scene of the accident.
Traffic had to be diverted for about four hours by the Weilheim road maintenance department.
To clarify the cause of the accident, the Munich II public prosecutor ordered an accident analysis report.
Both vehicles were seized and blood was drawn from the drivers.
