Peugeot unveils the new 408 that will hit the markets in 2023.
The 408 features an interesting design, with the body lines moving between a recreational vehicle and the fastback look we knew in the 508.
There is also a rechargeable hybrid propulsion system and a promise for an all-electric version in the future.

The company's new model has fairly large dimensions that attribute it to the D segment, ones that almost reach those of the familiar 508.
With a length of 469 cm, a wheelbase of 279 cm and a ventral spacing of 17.9 cm produce quite decent proportions also thanks to the rather low overall height dimension.
The result, in the photos anyway looks quite unique.
When it comes to propulsion units, the 408 is presented with three versions based on front-wheel drive.
As mentioned, each tram version will arrive later and will likely offer dual propulsion.
At the moment, the base version will start with the group's familiar 1.2-liter turbo engine with 130 hp.
Beyond that there are two other plug-in hybrids, none of which are new either.
The said rechargeable hybrid versions are equipped with a turbocharged petrol engine (in two power options) mated to an electric motor.
The combined power is 180 hp or 225 hp in the more powerful version.
Peugeot has not yet provided official travel range data.
