The National Security Division of the Police Force today (26th) arrested two men (aged 31 and 53) in Cheung Sha Wan and Chai Wan respectively. Pursuant to court warrants, the residences of the two arrested persons were searched. Information electronic communication equipment, computer, saber and an imitation firearm.
It is reported that the two have published inflammatory remarks on social media.
The two are suspected of violating Sections 9 and 10 of the Crimes Ordinance (Chapter 200 of the Laws of Hong Kong) of "acting with seditious intent", Section 20 of the Firearms and Ammunition Ordinance, Cap. Section 17 of the Summary Offences Ordinance (Chapter 228) "Possession of offensive weapons" and Section 8 of the Telecommunications Ordinance (Chapter 106) "Unlicensed possession of radio communication equipment".
They are being detained for investigation.
The police seized evidence, including a saber and an imitation gun.
