Officers from the Miscellaneous Investigation Team of Kwun Tong Police District launched an anti-crime operation codenamed "BRAVEDUKE" at about 10 pm yesterday (25th) and raided several party rooms in the district and found a party at 15-17 Shing Yip Street The room is suspected to be operating illegally.
During the operation, a 21-year-old person in charge surnamed Wong was arrested for allegedly violating the Prevention and Control of Disease (Requirements and Directions) (Business and Premises) Regulation (Cap. 599F). She is being detained for investigation.
Another 10 local women and 9 local men, aged between 19 and 32, were also suspected of violating the Prevention and Control of Disease (Requirements and Directions) (Business and Premises) Regulations for failing to scan the SafeTravel QR code ( Cap 599F), the officers then issued a fixed penalty notice to them.
The Police appeal to members of the public to take care of themselves and others and strictly abide by the Prevention and Control of Disease Ordinance to help control the epidemic.
The Police will continue to step up inspections and take decisive enforcement actions against offenders to reduce the risk of virus transmission.
The police raided the party room in Kwun Tong, and the woman in charge was taken away and detained for further investigation.
