The Helix wins: Brucker voted on light art

The light artwork "GIMMEABREAK HELIX" is now being bought by the city of Fürstenfeldbruck.

Fürstenfeldbruck – In the April and May issues of the RathausReport and via the “Light Art” flyer, Bruckers were asked to choose their favorites from the four light sculptures set up in public places as part of the “StadtKunstLand” competition.
"We are pleased that 112 people took part in the campaign by May 30,"
said the city.
103 votes
were counted as valid.
The city of Fürstenfeldbruck would like to thank everyone who took part.
The result
35 citizens voted for
"Gimmebreak Helix" by Christoph Hildebrand
, which is the winner.
The work
“Makrocontroller” by Carolin Liebl and Nicolas Schmid-Pfähler came
in second with 29 votes .
Third place with 25 votes came to
"Let it be light" by Anne Pfeifer and Bernhard Kreutzer
.
Siegfried Kreitner's “VIII”
received 14 votes
.
The work of art by Hildebrand thus received the most votes and is purchased by the city of Fürstenfeldbruck.
The Derriks Cultural Foundation will acquire the two light sculptures “Makrocontroller” and “Let it be light” and leave them on permanent loan to the city.
The city thanks you for your commitment.
A sponsor is still being sought for the other work.
The
raffle for five works of art
among the participants and the official presentation of the prizes will take place soon.
