Due to a mistake in identifying her body at Carmel Hospital in Haifa - the wrong woman was brought to the cemetery in Tirat Carmel for burial, in her eighties.
The woman's body was sent last Friday to the cemetery, where during the funeral the family mistakenly identified her as their daughter.
This morning the second family arrived at the hospital to identify their loved one - and the mistake turned out to be.
The hospital updated the relevant factors and apologized to the families.
"Due to a rare and unfortunate mistake in identifying a deceased body, the wrong body was brought for burial," the hospital said.
"Immediately after discovering the mistake, the hospital summoned and updated the families. Professional teams wrap and accompany the families in whatever is required."
