"A victory for the Constitution, a victory for the rule of law and especially a victory for life,"
former US President Donald Trump said tonight (Saturday), in response to the repeal of the ruling that allows US states to allow abortions.
At a rally in western Illinois, he praised the ruling and reminded the audience that in 2016 he promised to appoint judges who would "stand up for the original meaning of the constitution."
Recall that the ruling won the support of all three justices appointed by Trump.

Recall that US President Joe Biden also referred to the ruling and said: "This is a sad day for the court, a sad day for our country."
He added: "The Supreme Court has taken away from the citizens of the United States a constitutional right that has already been recognized. They have not restricted it, they have simply taken it away. It has never been done before."
Biden promised in his remarks to do "everything he can" by virtue of being president to give women these rights.
Hundreds of protesters also came to the U.S. Supreme Court to condemn the judges' decision.
