A car accident occurred on Fanling Highway.
At about 11:43 in the middle of the night yesterday (26th), two private cars were traveling along the Fanling Highway in the direction of Kowloon.
On the way to the opposite side of the road near Fanling, two cars collided. One of the private cars collided with the water horse on the side of the road, and then caught fire, and the whole car was caught in a sea of flames.
Firefighters arrived after receiving the report, used a throat and a team of smoke caps to put out the fire, and put out the fire nearly 20 minutes later.
Rescue workers found that the drivers of the two vehicles involved were all dead. It is believed that some people fled together after the accident. The police are now investigating the incident.
Traffic was blocked due to the accident.
The Transport Department announced at 0:07 a.m. that the entire route of Fanling Highway (towards Kowloon), near Takung Ching Chi, has been closed due to a vehicle fire.
Motorists should consider using other roads; until 00:28, some traffic lanes are still closed, and motorists can only use the remaining traffic lanes.
