The leaders of the rich 7G group mocked Russian President Vladimir Putin's macho image yesterday (Sunday) during a meeting in Germany, which focused on the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
The summit, which lasts three days, takes place in the Bavarian Alps, with temperatures approaching 30 degrees Celsius.
At their first meeting, the mummified leaders in suits sat around the table and consulted with British Prime Minister Boris Johnson as to whether they should take off their jackets - and perhaps even more so.
"We must show them that we are tougher than Putin," Johnson said to the laughter of those around him, including US President Joe Biden, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, German Chancellor Olaf Schultz, French President Emmanuel Macron, Prime Minister Italy Mario Draghi, EU Foreign Minister Joseph Burrell, EU President Ursula von der Lane and Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida.
"Bare chest on a horse," Trudeau tossed, "must show our muscles," everyone laughed.
"Oh yes," von Der Lane said.
"Horseback riding is the best."

Putin has been cultivating the image of his athlete for years, and has been photographed several times without a shirt in photos published in the Russian media, including on horseback, in army trousers with a gold chain on his chest.
7G leaders discussed efforts to isolate Russia due to the invasion of Ukraine, with Britain, Canada, Japan and the United States announcing their intention to ban imports of Russian gold.
