Many people in the district do volunteer work.
In order to support them and to show how important their work is, the "Civil Engagement Coordination Office" invites all volunteers to a club day on July 9th.
Weilheim
– In Bavaria, 41 percent of citizens over the age of 14 do voluntary work.
According to District Administrator Andrea Jochner-Weiss, public services are largely on the shoulders of people who put “time, energy, understanding and heart and soul” into such a commitment, as she recently said at a press event.
The district administrator therefore considers it essential to support this group of people.
Information about how to successfully carry out voluntary work is particularly important.
For this reason, the "Citizens' Engagement Coordination Office" (KOBE) of the District Office offers a "Club Day" in cooperation with the "Bavarian State Network for Civic Engagement".
According to KOBE director Utta Pollmeier, the aim is not only to impart knowledge, but also to enable volunteer citizens to get to know each other and exchange experiences.
On July 9, three workshops will be offered at the KOBE association day at the vocational school in Weilheim, from which those interested can choose one or two.
Start is at 9 a.m.
There is food and drink.
Participation is free.
However, registration is required.
Under the title "Looking for and finding new members", the participants learn what people expect from a club membership and what you have to offer them so that they stay in the club in the long term.
The speaker Karl Bosch also gives examples of how to motivate members to get involved in the association.
In "Fundraising for Clubs" the company and club consultant Michael Blatz provides information about sponsoring and other ways of raising money for non-profit organizations.
The third workshop is about "optimizing public relations".
The journalist and lecturer Katrin Poese shows which occasions in club life are suitable for public relations work and which communication channels are suitable for specific target groups.
