Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Dr. Bashar Al-Jaafari stressed the importance of the role of expatriates in clarifying the true picture of the war on Syria in the societies in which they live in all available ways.
Al-Jaafari stressed, during his meeting with a delegation of expatriates yesterday, the necessity of organizing the work of expatriates in associations or expatriate associations that unite their efforts and reach their voice to the authorities of the expatriate countries in which they live.
Al-Jaafari explained to the delegation the negative effects of the illegitimate unilateral coercive economic measures imposed on Syria, especially on consular work in embassies, such as closing some Syrian embassies and honorary consulates in many countries and closing bank accounts of some Syrian embassies abroad.
Al-Jaafari listened to the difficulties of consular work experienced by Syrian expatriates in completing consular transactions in Syrian embassies and consulates abroad, and the proposed solutions.
The meeting was attended by the Director of the Consular Department, Dr. Ziad Zahreddine, the Director of the Deputy Minister's Office, Dr. Yamen Yassouf, and the Deputy Minister's Office, Dr. Nizar Kbibo.
