A 15-year-old boy was shot dead on Sunday evening in a sensitive district of Arles (Bouches-du-Rhône), known for its drug trafficking, we learned on Monday from police sources.
The victim, unknown to the police, was targeted by shots from a car around 10 p.m., in the Griffeuille district where the police had already intervened the previous weekend for shots, against a background of traffic , according to the police.
Rushed to hospital, the young man did not survive his injuries.
Car found burnt down
According to the police, a car with several people inside approached a group of four teenagers, and one of them, unknown to the police, was hit by gunfire.
The car from which the shots came was found burned in Saint-Martin de Crau, 20 km from Arles.
The judicial police of Marseille is in charge of the investigation.
