The Prime Minister, Engineer Hussein Arnous, affirmed that the media war on Syria, which included incitement, misinformation and falsification of facts, constitutes one of the aspects of the terrorist and economic war that it has been facing for years, noting that the Syrian national media has been targeted and made sacrifices and martyrs and was accompanying the Syrian Arab Army in all its battles and the transfer of its victories to the whole world.

During his meeting today, the head of the Radio and Television Corporation of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Peyman Jabali, and his accompanying delegation, Eng. Arnous called for unifying efforts between the media institutions in the two countries to expose the misinformation campaigns practiced by some media outlets that were partners in bloodshed and incitement against the two countries and to inform the public opinion in both countries of the truth. The events on the regional and international arenas and the looting of the wealth of its peoples and attempts to divide their countries are taking place in the region.

The Prime Minister pointed out that the continued exchange of economic, scientific, cultural and media delegations between Syria and Iran is an embodiment of the will of the two countries' leaderships to support and develop bilateral relations in various fields.

For his part, Jabali congratulated Syria on the victories it had achieved in the face of terrorism and the liberation of many of its lands thanks to the heroism of its army, people and leadership. The propaganda that countries are exposed to and documenting the heroisms written by the martyrs to be a beacon for future generations.

The two sides stressed the importance of coordination and strengthening cooperation between the General Authority for Radio and Television in Syria and the Radio and Television Corporation in Iran, and benefiting from Iranian experiences in the fields of human cadres training, technical and technical support, and the establishment of joint projects that include the production of cinematic films and dramatic works that contribute to revitalizing cultural exchange, strengthening community relations and inter-economic cooperation. By highlighting investment opportunities and showing the available capabilities in the two countries.

The meeting was attended by Minister of Information Dr. Boutros Al-Hallaq, Secretary-General of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers Dr. Qais Muhammad Khader, Chairman of the Planning and International Cooperation Authority Dr. Fadi Al-Khalil, Director General of the Public Authority for Radio and Television Habib Salman and Iranian Ambassador to Damascus Mahdi Sobhani.
