During the G7 summit in 2022, British Prime Minister Boris Johnson can't help but joke about Vladimir Putin.

Munich – In recent years, Vladimir Putin has liked to present himself as a strong, male leader as often as possible – for example shirtless on a horse in the Russian mountains or swimming easily through ice-cold water.
Putin's macho image has now prompted British Prime Minister Boris Johnson to joke about the Kremlin boss at the G7 summit, which is currently taking place near Munich.
"We all have to show that we are tougher than Putin," Johnson said during a meeting with other heads of state, including Chancellor Olaf Scholz (SPD).

shows, the British Prime Minister also asked if he and his counterparts could take off their clothes to "show our pecs".
Among those in attendance who laughed at Johnson's quips was Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, who suggested "riding shirtless" to the amusement of European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen.

The many photos showing Vladimir Putin doing sports have been repeatedly circulated by the Russian state media in the past.
While seeing the Russian president shirtless has become almost a habit, more exotic shots also show the Kremlin boss in a wetsuit.
The Russian President can be seen on it after the dive at an archaeological site off the Taman Peninsula – including artifacts he allegedly just discovered.
But the gentle, animal-loving side of Putin should also be made clear, among other things, by shots with dolphins.

The topics of Russia and the Ukraine war dominate at the G7 summit
The main reason for this year's G7 summit is the Ukraine war and the efforts of the states to further isolate Russia economically.
The focus should be on the armaments industry and the technology sector.
"We are determined to reduce Russia's revenues, including from gold," the G7 states said in a joint statement on Monday (June 27).
In addition, leaders gathered in the Bavarian Alps are expected to also discuss a possible price cap on Russian oil, as well as how to tackle soaring food and energy prices around the world.
