Bürgerfest Unterföhring: Brilliant start

Thousands of visitors thronged to the community festival in Unterföhring on the first evening.

A full tent, a good atmosphere and a magnificent procession ensured a brilliant start.

Unterföhring

– Mayor Andreas Kemmelmeyer (PWU) is proud: he only needed two shots to officially open the 36th public festival with the tapping on Friday.

The marquee, which is already occupied to the last seat, holds 2000 visitors.

And they all call out their enthusiasm to Kemmelmeyer.

The people of Unterföhring had to wait two years before they could finally celebrate together again.

"Now let's let it hiss," Kemmelmeyer calls out to the people.

A triple "A-Hu" resounds towards him.

The former mayor drives up in a vintage fire engine

The procession of clubs has just reached the fairground.

Fire brigade, riflemen, water rescue service, allotment gardeners, members of Taekwondo and Bambinis pushed along Jahnstraße;

In front the squeaky red P3 from the godfather fire brigade from Kamsdorf in Thuringia, a 6-cylinder from 1965, with former mayor Klaus Läßing on board.

The last meters are the hardest.

It's a good thing that there were three 50 liter barrels of Augustiner for free at the start at the town hall.

The brass band at the head of the gorgeous-looking pageant is immersed in a cloud of enticing scents of candied fruit, chocolate apples, cotton candy.

Passing bumper cars and chain carousel, the train reaches the marquee, which is bursting at the seams from one moment to the next.

Another program

The celebrations will continue over the next three days with a varied program.

The children's afternoon will take place this Monday from 12 p.m. with reduced prices and fish on a stick.

At 3.30 p.m. Donikkl spread good mood children's concert.

At 7 p.m. there will be Pink Floyd Sound with "Pinks Choice" and at 9 p.m. the Queen Cover Band MerQury will perform.

Tuesday is dedicated to seniors from 12 noon.

There will be musical entertainment with the band Acoustic Mix from Unterföhring with chicken and beer.

At 6 p.m. the well-known Oktoberfest band Cagey Strings will be performing.

On Wednesday, the Schotterebner will create a good atmosphere.
