A six-month-old girl was saved by an off-duty carabiniere who broke the window of the car in which the child, under the sun, had been accidentally locked up by her mother.

The episode took place in Giussano, in the province of Monza and Brianza.

The soldier intervened after he heard the child's mother, a 39-year-old, scream, who had inadvertently forgotten the keys in the car and who after having placed the child in the car seat was locked out due to the automatic insertion of the safety.

When the carabiniere heard the woman ask for help, the child was already showing signs of suffering from the heat.

The carabiniere used a stone and broke the glass.

Shortly after, other soldiers and 118 rescuers arrived, warned by passers-by.

The child was examined and did not report any consequences, the carabiniere reported injuries and cuts to the hand with a prognosis of 10 days.
